Dark and melancholy experiments in pop comprise this week’s Toking Tunes playlist. ‘Noche’ features many new up-and-coming artists across the spectrum of popular music, such as Coucou Chloé and Kamixlo, plus more established names like ScHoolboy Q.

Haunting vocal arrangements can be heard on Coucou Chloé’s ‘Halo’ as well as Arca’s recent ‘Anoche’ from his upcoming eponymous album. Slightly smoother are ‘The Narcissist’ from Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland and ‘That Other Girl’ by Sevdaliza, the video for which is intricate, beautiful, and great for watching while high.

Arca makes a second appearance on the playlist, credited for the production on Kelela’s ‘Hallucinogen,’ which is as trippy to listen to as you might expect. With intricate production, the track keeps the stoned mind on its metaphorical toes throughout.

Happy toking!
